Barack Hussein Obama II is the president of the United States and the first African American president. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and went to Harvard Law School, hoping for a career in legislation but entered the world of politics. As a president he had many achievements such as signing an economic stimulus and a Tax Relief to help with the recession. He also ended the war in Iraq and ordered a military operation that helped eliminate Osama bin Laden, being acclaimed for these accomplishments. According to the majority, Obama has done a lot for the United States, compared with other presidents and some are happy to re-elect him in the next presidential election that will come in 2012.

For a man of Barack Obama’s caliber, there is a need for a similar watch. TAG Heuer Series 1500 Two Tone Diver is just the watch he needs and he has been seen wearing it several times. This model was introduced in 1991 and it is quite limited since the production has stopped a few years ago Also, because of the fact that they are very inaccessible, the watches from that series are also pretty expensive. It also seems to have been made to suit the conditions of various sports, being one of the most durable watches and can be worn in the harshest conditions. The watch has an amazing design: an oversized chronograph and with luminous markers and a tri-compax style. It has 47 mm counting the crown, with a thickness of 13.5 mm and also has a quick set date at 4:30. When it comes to the movement the watch is equipped with a precise Miyota Caliber OS-20 movement which is a 13- ½ ligne movement and also has a height of 5.10 mm and accuracy within 20 seconds per months. As you can see, the watch is definitely something made for a president.

The Face Of TAG Heuer – Leonardo DiCaprio

No Comments Tag Heuer, Watches

Leonardo DiCaprio looked his best at the Golden Globe Awards this year with a formal style. The American actor knows how to pull off a nice suit for a formal occasion and that is all he needs to look perfect; that and a nice watch. It is no surprise what watch he chose for this event as he is an active spokesperson for TAG Heuer for quite some time now but the Carrera 16 Calibre Day-Date looks flawless and is a great choice nevertheless.

He started his acting career in television commercials and then moved on to the small screen in the soap opera Santa Barbara. His first film was in 1991, Critters 3, but the first critical praise came in 1993 for his role in This Boy’s Life. The biggest fame boost in his career was for the movie Titanic in 1997 despite the other good movies that went before that. Ever since Titanic, he became unstoppable with roles in big movies such as Catch Me If You Can and The Aviator which brought him award nominations. His most recent two movies, Shutter Island and Inception, are some of the biggest commercial hits of his rich career. When he is not making a great film, he is a true activist and environmentalist.

The TAG Heuer Carrera watch is made as a tribute to the Carrera Panamericana Mexico Race; it is designed as a sports watch and is a very precise chronograph. The display is pretty big so that it can easily show the stopwatch function as well as the day and date. TAG Heuer watches are mostly brought because they are luxury timepieces and not for their incredible movement and quality. It is a very common sight to see Leonardo DiCaprio with this TAG Heuer Carrera watch and the two work great on their journey together.
